WE have till April 11, just a few more weeks to go before officially achieving a "lifestyle" change so say the experts. I started Jan. 11 and if I make it to April 11 that will be 3 months eating healthy and exercising regularly. On April 11, I'm going to make an appointment with my Gynecologist for an exam and mammo. The last time I saw her, the blood work showed that I was pre-diabetic. I'm anxious to see the results today. I don't want to be an "After-After" picture again.
Research on Pre-diabetic subjects showed that people making a lifestyle change - eating right and exercising 30 minutes a day reduced their risk of getting type 2 diabetes by 58 percent. In the first year of the study, people lost an average of 15 pounds. Lifestyle change was even more effective in those aged 60 and older. They reduced their risk by 71 percent.
That's why it is so important that I don't quit this time. I want to live.

On that note, I'm going to do an intense work-out on the treadmill now.
Keep me motivated, ok?

oh gosh! k now i'm really all about keeping you motivated. i want you to live, too. what a depressing day.
