Today Leah and I came to Austin for our workout with Mom. This week went well. I didn't cheat and followed Jillians workouts on schedule, even when it meant not starting until 11:30-12:00 at night. Talk about tired! Friday night Leah was having a party at her place and I needed to help train Linds for her day 9. Since we couldn't get into the workout room, we did some Jillian workout videos on Excersize on Demand (apparently only offered by Time Warner). It was cool to have the real Jillian staning in front of us and coaching us on proper form, where to hold our chin, elbows, etc. We got a great work out, just not the one from the book. It was my Day Off though, so just extra calories burned for me.
Yesterday I went shopping for something to wear to my friend's surprise b-day party downtown. I bought 2 strapless short dresses with cute shoes to choose from. Shopping was fun! I liked almost everything I tried on and felt great. I caught myself doing little poses and checking muscles while I was in the dressing room. I was smiling at nobody because the mediums and size 7s fit me again. Ahhhh. Now I can't wait to get into the smalls and size 4s. Bring it! Then I went tanning and checked my muscles in the mirror there. Can't wait to be able to sit down and not see any rolls. I'm getting there. I ended up wearing a beautiful, silky blue dress and awesome shoes to match. I got SO many compliments on my outfit from friends and strangers both. It was exilerating. In preparation for my drinking, I had a super healthy pepper, mushroom and turkey wrap and some Special K with a banana that day. Then I had a snack packet. Then I cut myself off from food. Downtown I only drank 2.5 drinks. But because I have not been drinking for months, I still got a lovely buzz and had only clear liquor. Also, the appetizers at the party were sushi and I HATE fish so I didn't even feel tempted to drink.
It does feel great when people at work tell me I look thin. And it feels good when Dad says I look skinny because he doesn't give compliments until he means them so I know he's not just trying to be nice because he knows how hard I'm working. I'm seeing it more in myself lately. Now I'm even more determined to get into the low 130s and even 120s. I hope by Christmas I will be there. I did hit a huge milestone this week when the scale said 138! YESSSSSS.
So- thank you ladies for keeping me on "track" hahahahaa. This has been a fun journey and I want it to continue forever. A lifestyle change, as we discussed at the track today. I really enjoy our Sundays together and love the blog. On that note, I promise to do at least 5 entries next week. Sorry Mom.
